You’re most welcome to DaaniaMedics in case of diagnosis and treatment of psychological or psychiatric complaints. In addition, you can also contact us for medical expertise, for example if there is a need for a second opinion, or for the benefit of an occupational health and safety service (company doctor), UWV, lawyer or the court.

Because DaaniaMedics seems to be a very well known office we receive nowadays many referrals,  so the waiting time has unfortunately now increased to 5-6 weeks. In order not to allow the waiting time to increase further, we do not  accept new referrals for the time being. To minimize the waiting list, appointments are currently also made outside office hours or on (some) weekend days at no extra cost. As soon as the waiting time becomes shorter than 3 weeks, the referral system (Zorgdomein) will be opened again for the general practioners in order to  send your referral letter electronically.

The practice is in a neutral environment and is modernly furnished and works with the latest standards in terms of diagnostics, treatment, safety and privacy. The practice is also easily accessible by public transport, Kralingsezoom metro station is approximately next door and is easily accessible by bus (line 36). You can park for free in our own parking lot. From the center of Rotterdam it is only 5 km further, so also easily accessible by bicycle.

The practice has contracts with most health insurance companies, so the treatments are eligible for reimbursement by your insurance.

For non-insured care, we apply maximum rates per care product as determined by the Dutch Healthcare Authority, the NZA. See the website of the NZA for this: You can read the rates here for specialized mental health care and for basic mental health care here.

For other uninsured activities, eg expertise or reporting, we also charge rates as determined by the NZA. You can see this under the rates for basic mental healthcare in the second link above.

In case of expertise or reporting, the consultation will usually be reimbursed by your employer or the UWV or the institution for which reporting is required.

N.b. The practice also has options for tele- and video consultations. This means that remote treatments, even if you are abroad, are possible. Of course these will be the exceptions to the rule and you will usually have to come to the practice.

DaaniaMedics does not provide 24-hours healthcare! If you’re already in treatment at DaaniaMedics  and you have an urgent situation at out of office hours or in the weekend, you could try to contact us via the AfsprakenApp. This contact can lead to an advise to what to do settle down or lead to a short term follow-up appointment. You can also contact the local emergency GP center (huisartsenpost, which is available bij dialing the phone number of your own GP). We will provide you with further information about this during your intake.

General practitioners and the Emergency MentalHealthcenters (Crisisdienst) can contact us 24/7 if it is strictly necessary.
